How single-use procedure packs can help you increase efficiency and control infection – Delivered by Rocialle

  • Rocialle is developing innovative packs and is helping the Welsh NHS to increase efficiency and control infection. This workshop looks at the benefits of sterile procedure packs and how Rocialle can tailor packs to match your needs. Also included is an interactive calculator of savings available to your trust which you will be able to use and take away with you.

Funding for research workshop – Could better nutrition reduce NHS costs? – Delivered by NutriWales

  • Discussions will consider which target areas could be tackled, behaviour changes, collaboration with the NHS, collaboration with the Welsh food industry and the order of priority. The workshop aims to develop some actions to tackle this question.

Good Clinical Practice Workshop: GCP in Practice – Delivered by Health and Care Research Wales

  • This workshop aims to explore the implications of the principles of GCP in terms of the delegates’ own practice. There will be interactive group work and lots of opportunity for questions and discussion. Practical advice on navigating procurement procedures and the role of innovation adoption in improving patient outcomes.

Update on the programme to enhance NHS approals for research in Wales – Delivered by Health and Care Research Wales

  • Advice and support for trials, including ethics proposal guidelines and an update on the new arrangements from the HRA (Health Research Authority) approvals process.

Funding for clinical innovation workshop – Swansea Healthcare Innovation Partnership Programme – Delivered by Swansea University

  • The introductory section of the presentation will be used to set out SHIPP’s origins, processes and objectives. Following on from this, the talks will cover the intellectual property issues associated with collaborative innovation projects such as those being funded by SHIPP.

  • ARCH is health and science working together, to improve the health, wealth and wellbeing of the people of South West Wales

  • Practical advice on navigating procurement procedures and the role of innovation adoption in improving patient outcomes. Shared services in collaboration with Surgical Materials Testing Laboratory.
