The HealthTech and Medicines KTN (Health KTN), Stratified Medicines Innovation Platform would like to invite you to join the ‘ Diagnostics for Stratified Medicine Catapult workshop’ in Cardiff on the 27th November 2013.  This workshop is designed to help identify and define the scope of the Diagnostics for Stratification Catapult.

The Health KTN would like to reach out to the wide-ranging stratified medicines community and invite them to participate in this workshop.  We want to pull together the views of the community on:

• What role the Catapult could play in advancing Stratified Medicine in the UK?
• What should it look like?
• What capabilities should it have?
• How can we take forward the outputs of the Stratified Medicine Roadmap?

There will be an opportunity to meet with the Technology Strategy Board team and Health KTN team at this workshop.

Diagnostics for Stratification Catapult

The Technology Strategy Board’s planned Catapult centre on stratified medicine, announced in the government’s infrastructure plans on 27 June, will specialise in diagnostics.  Funding for the centre will come from the £185 million given to the Technology Strategy Board to continue supporting the Biomedical Catalyst and to expand the number of catapult centres.  The centre, to be called the Diagnostics for Stratification Catapult, will look at developing diagnostics to be used within stratified medicine to identify patients for treatment
