Dr Berwyn Clarke is a senior executive in the in vitro diagnostic industry with widespread experience in both the pharmaceutical / diagnostics industries for the past 30 years. From 1990-2000 he was Head of the hepatitis C virus therapeutic area at GlaxoWellcome. He then moved into the molecular diagnostic industry with Virco UK and Visible Genetics Inc and went on to found Oneida TheraDiagnostics Ltd, Lab21 Ltd and Pandion Biotechnology Consulting.

Berwyn is Chief Executive of Glyconics Ltd, an innovative diagnostics company, and Executive Chairman of PBD Biotech Ltd, a company exploiting proprietary technology in the diagnosis of bacterial infections. He is also Chairman of NALIA Systems Ltd; Non-Executive Director at Protein Logic Ltd and on the Board of Advisors at NanoIVD Inc and at Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst.

Berwyn is a member of the Welsh Life Sciences Sector Panel and is Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Cardiff University.
