MediWales' Finance & Funding Event 'Money, Money, Money' and the Life Science Exchange's Surgery

MediWales’ Finance & Funding event will highlight the latest sources of funding and finance for R&D and clinical trials for clinical collaborations and industry projects.

The event will focus on exciting new calls in the area of clinical unmet needs for our NHS community such as the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI). Expressions of interest are being taken for up to 100% funded research projects looking to develop new products with companies .

Finance Wales is heading up a new five-year Wales Technology Seed Fund aimed at technology start-ups, University spin outs and IP rich companies to help them commercialise their innovative products and technologies and bring them to market.

R&D funding can be applied for from the TSB in specific priority areas, as well as non-themed ‘always open’ competitions such as Smart.

Other funds and programmes featured will include i4i, EU Horizon 2020,the Wales Life Sciences Investment Fund managed by Arthurian, the NHS Health Technology Challenge Fund and support from Welsh Government.
