Synopsis:

This breakfast session will look at how the NHS is building and supporting a strong innovation community. How it is designed for frontline clinicians and industry, service managers and the public. It is for anyone who wants to develop, implement and spread innovations in health and care.

Robert Chesters, Innovation Lead, NHS England, will take you through how to collaborate with the Center for integration of Medicine and Innovative Technologies (CIMIT). Specifically:

• Sharing new ideas
• Collaboration
• Adoption of High Impact Innovations
• Identification of support and funding sources

Rob is part of the Innovation Team which acts as an internal innovation expert consultancy partner to the Medical Directorate and wider NHS England. He will take you through how the Innovation Team is enabling and supporting NHS England to ramp up the pace and scale of change and innovation, in order to enable the commissioning system to deliver better outcomes for patients and improve productivity.

Points being covered are:

• The national strategies linked to the Outcomes Framework,
• Partnership working with industry, and
• Technical and commercial expertise on generation, identification, adoption and diffusion of innovative ideas, products and technologies.
