The ILS2020 programme enables businesses to undertake small R&D projects in the area of molecular and cellular diagnostics in collaboration with the Institute of Life Science at Swansea University

This Workshop will offer:

1. Overview of the opportunities in the “ILS2020” programme
2. Introduction to the new technology platforms for DNA Sequencing, Analysis of Cellular Metabolism and Biophysical Properties
3. Access to academic experts in Molecular biology, Cell biology, Microbiology, Genomics, Bioinformatics and Biophysics
4. Access to innovation experts from Swansea’s Department of Research and Innovation
5. Access to Welsh Government innovation specialists
6. Individual consultations with the project teams to discuss possible project outlines submitted ahead of the workshop

ILS2020 can offer 2-6 months support projects identified at the workshop. Support includes postdoctoral research time, academic time, equipment access and consumables (max £5000).

Companies will be required to include an element of match funding.
