Theryte
Theryte is a cancer drug discovery and development company. Its technology builds on a previously undescribed mechanism of action and is intrinsically selective to cancers whilst sparing normal human cells. Development is currently at the pre-clinical stage.
Theryte’s experimental data suggest that there exists a relatively small number of key proteins which co-operate to exert a novel function in cancer cells, and by so doing re-stabilise the otherwise unstable cancer cell.
A recent peptidomimetic compound shows significant anti-cancer activity against a range of solid tumour types and Theryte has embarked on a program of work to achieve in vivo proof of concept. Theryte outsources the majority of its R&D activities, and has requirements for medicinal chemistry, early ADME/Tox. studies, in vivo pharmacokinetics, tolerability and xenografts. In addition, the company is looking for collaborators and partners who can carry out cancer biochemical and genetics experiments to further investigate the novel mechanism of action.
