UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research – Public Consultation

The Welsh Government, in conjunction with the Health Research Authority and the devolved administrations, launched a public consultation on a new UK policy framework for health and social care research on 18 December 2015. This sets out the high-level principles of good practice in the management and conduct of research, as well as the responsibilities that underpin high-quality ethical research.

The new policy framework, developed through a UK wide steering group, strives to help make the UK an even better place to do research. It is aimed at individuals responsible for health and social care research in the UK. When finalised, it will replace the current research governance frameworks published by each of the UK health departments.

The consultation document has been published on the Welsh Government website and can be found in English here and in Welsh here.

Please note the closing date for the consultation is 24 March 2016.
