Delivering assisted living lifestyles at scale (DALLAS) initiatives announced

The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) has announced details of the projects which will receive funding from the Dallas Programme (delivering assisted living lifestyles at scale).

The dallas programme will explore ways of using innovative products, systems and services to create more independent lifestyles and will help hundreds of thousands of people by summer 2015.

dallas tasks four consortia with running this programme and testing it with communities throughout the UK. The consortia have been awarded £25 million of government money, to which they’ve added their own financial contributions

The initiatives include: i-Focus, Year Zero, the Feelgood Factory and Living It Up.

i-Focus is a nationwide programme offering people products and services in a bid to make them feel more comfortable in their own homes. The online application, Years Ahead, empowers individuals to actively manage their own health information. The Feelgood Factory encourages people in Liverpool to plan their future in order to better manage their health and social needs. Finally, Living It up focuses on developing solutions that hope to enable communities across Scotland to live happy, health safe lives.
