£10 million funding round – apply by 15 September 2014
The Department of Health runs a joint funding initiative with the Wellcome Trust. The Health Innovation Challenge Fund (HIC Fund) is a translational funding scheme to accelerate the clinical application of projects that are well advanced along the development pathway.
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we have just announced a new £10 million funding round. In this round we are inviting applications from UK-based investigators from the academic, healthcare and commercial sectors in six theme areas:
- Surgical technologies
- Innovative diagnostics
- Trauma and critical care medicine
- Informatics to assist clinical decision making
- Repurposing of medicines and medical devices
- Biological therapeutics
