North Wales’ Microvisk’s home-testing device will soon be on the market
A new home-testing device which will allow patients taking anti-coagulant drugs to check their own blood will be on the market soon following a £2m investment.
The device has been designed by North Wales company Microvisk for patients who take blood-thinning drugs to prevent life-threatening blood clots.
The dosage of anti-coagulant must be regularly monitored and the new device enables patients to take a tiny blood sample and test its coagulation properties.
These results can be sent by phone or online to the doctor.
