PCI Pharma Services set to expand in Bridgend

PCI Pharma Services is set to expand at Central Park on Bridgend Industrial Estate after developer Robert Hitchins secured consent for a new warehouse.

Robert Hitchins will 37,500 sq ft unit, including warehouse and office areas on the ground and first floor, which will provide space for PCI Pharma Services to expand.

The site, known as Plot 2500, had previously been given approval for several units similar in size to neighbouring facilities. Bridgend County Borough Council has now given permission to increase the size of the approved building.

PCI Pharma Services, formerly Biotec Services International, has been a tenant on the estate at Biotec House since 2007 and expanded into units 2010 and 2130 Central Park in 2012.

The company provides outsourced pharmaceutical services including drug development and manufacture, clinical trial supply including packaging, labelling and global distribution services for investigational medicines, and contract packaging services for commercial medicines for the global healthcare industry.

In addition to its Bridgend premises, it operates from three other locations in Wales; Tredegar, Hay-on-Wye and Treforest.

“The site expansion will allow us to further support our clients in expediting the development of lifesaving medicines to patients around the world.”

“We have a further three development plots available which have the benefit of outline planning consent for up to 150,000 sq ft.”
