Debbie oversees all research, events organisation, and advisory groups within MediWales. Debbie has spent the past nine years forming professional relationships with clinical, academic and industry stakeholders and assisting collaboration between them.

Before joining the team in 2007, Debbie was a secondary school teacher of Biology. With a degree in Environmental Science, Debbie is well versed in the nuances of the life science sector and is able to support members in whatever capacity they need.

For nearly thirteen years, Gwyn has been Forum Manager for MediWales. Now as CEO, he has overseen a transformation of the forum to its current size, influence and corporate structure. Gwyn now works with the directors and members of MediWales to develop the forum's future strategic direction. His in-depth knowledge of the life science sector allows him to represent MediWales' members' interests on a number of Welsh and UK government panels and boards.

Gwyn's career has developed over twenty years from being a front line product designer working in a number of sectors, including the development of medical devices, to his current managerial role.

Isabelle heads up the events and marketing for MediWales. She coordinates our regular events, seminars and larger conferences and maintains network promotions through social media and email marketing. Isabelle also engages with current members, managing the network and supporting business development.

Isabelle graduated from Cardiff University with a business management degree, specialising in marketing, and work experience in digital marketing for Lloyds Bank.

Sophie is the Editor of the biannual UK Lifescience Industry magazine and the annual MediWales LifeStories magazine. She is also responsible for writing press releases and contributes to managing the MediWales website and social media.

After graduating from the University of Warwick with a languages degree, Sophie gained valuable experience in a digital marketing agency and developed her skills in copywriting, editing and social media before joining MediWales.

Katherine Maxwell

Marketing & Events Assistant

Katherine helps support the marketing and events activity, coordinating seminars and conferences and actively promoting and engaging the network.

Katherine has recently graduated with a first from Surrey University in Business Management and Marketing and previous work experience in events management.
