Workshops for SMEs

Grant funding is sometimes seen as a source of free money, but that’s a misnomer – it is as free as winning a sale or equity investment. Constructing a compelling, competitive case for public funding to support your project takes a significant amount of effort. There is no magic formula for securing grant funding, but with a great idea and a well-presented case you have the highest chance of success.

This half-day workshop will explore what a good grant proposal does and does not look like, and will help you develop your ideas into a compelling and concise format suitable for Innovate UK applications as well as other grant programmes. The workshop will be delivered by innovation experts from across the Innovate UK family, and you will hear from local businesses that have successfully applied for funding.

Who should attend?

This event is aimed at all SMEs, but specifically for those more established companies who may have not previously considered using Innovate UK grant funding to help grow their business, or who have not been successful in their previous applications.

We are hosting a specific workshop for organisations or individuals that provide any type of grant application service relevant to UK businesses & researchers (e.g. proposal preparation or review, grant or partner finding, project & consortium management).
