Join MediWales and our partners for an event focusing on innovation and new product development, with experts on hand to advise on the key aspects you will need to consider.
This workshop is here to help anyone from the health tech and diagnostics sector with new product that are looking to develop, commercialise and spin out, such as R&D led companies, academics, spin outs and clinicians with innovations for development.
Finance and funding
As a company expands and new products are developed, the need for investment grows. Finding the right type of funding or investment at the right time for your business can be a minefield. With options such as debt, equity, finance and grant access, advice will be available to find which solution works best for you. We will also have investors on hand offer their perspective on the product development journey.
Designing a product and assessing the feasibility will help you get the buy in you need from investors and manufacturers to take your product to market. The process considers the concept, creating a prototype, compliance testing and production.
IP and protecting your idea
It is vital to consider intellectual property when developing a new product. It can’t be a showstopper if your new product infringes someone else’s rights. You will also want to make sure that you are going to be able to stop third parties from copying your product.
Ensuring regulatory compliance is critical when developing products in the life science and health tech sector. Get to understand the regulatory landscape and what factors to consider when you are innovating.
We’re working with Abel & Imray, GX and GS Verde to bring you this interactive workshop, offering advice and guidance on this process. You will be able to ask questions and get involved in the conversation.
