This workshop takes the principles of a great pitch and applies them to all potential presentation scenarios – from an ‘elevator pitch’ or Dragons Den-style investor pitch to a customer or internal presentation. It is designed for all presenters, regardless of confidence or experience and is in three parts:

Organisation 

• The value of a clear objective and rigorous planning and preparation
• The importance of understanding the audience and the messages that will resonate with them
• How to organise thoughts and arguments into a compelling and engaging storyline

Creation 

• How to combine text, images, video etc to bring the pitch alive
• The dos and don’ts of PowerPoint and other tools
• Thinking beyond the slides – props, interaction and other great techniques

Dramatisation 

• Overcoming nerves
• Preparing and using the room
• How to command and engage the audience – using eyes, voice, hands, the space

The workshop is free to attend but pre-registration is essential.  A light buffet lunch will be provided.

David Ward Walton was taught presentation and pitching skills by some of the best in the business – notably during his time as a Group Director of Saatchi and Saatchi. He has had a lifetime of opportunities to hone and practice those skills during his career as an adman, marketer, businessman, TV Exec and with his own startups. He has distilled all that learning and experience into this workshop.
