SBRI – Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – Dementia project

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) are about to embark on a SBRI competition and are looking for innovative solutions that could assist people, their families and carers living with dementia who experience high levels of anxiety when travelling to and attending for hospital care.

VISION – Is to ensure that people living with dementia can:

  • Travel safely with reduced anxiety to and from the hospital.
  • Feel informed and valued as an integral part of their own healthcare.
  • Have access to safe, effective and compassionate care.
  • Feel that they have support to engage with, participate in and benefit from the healthcare consultation and intervention required.
  • Have a reduced need of drug intervention and anxiety reducing techniques, which require further staff training.
