The National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW) is a dedicated training facility for diagnostic imaging, funded by NHS Wales. Our primary function is to increase capacity for Radiology training in Wales but we are also charged with the training and development of other diagnostic imaging professionals within NHS Wales.

We develop and deliver diagnostic imaging training and continue professional development courses for any diagnostic imaging profession, student or trainee and this can be done in collaboration with NHS, academia and/or industry partners.
The Imaging Academy also has a remit for collaboration, innovation & research within diagnostic imaging, undertaking, supporting and facilitating research & innovation within imaging.

We work with industry, academia and clinicians/professionals to undertake academic and clinical research in the fields of imaging, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, educational design & delivery and data science.
