2020 MediWales Innovation Award Winners – “Partnership With The NHS”
DTR Medical are delighted to announce that we are the 2020 winners of the “Partnership with the NHS” Award at the MediWales Innovation Awards!
The award was won by the SNAP, Endoscope Guide for our collaboration and partnership with Chris Coulson, PhD, FRCS, Consultant ENT Surgeon and Ajith George, FRCS, Consultant ENT Surgeon in the development of the essential product and helping to bring it to market. This innovative device will enable ENT Clinicians and Speech & Language Therapists to return to Nasendoscopies. This procedure is critical in the diagnosis of Head and Neck Cancer, by reducing COVID-19 risks for the healthcare professional.
In order to distribute a free box to every UK NHS ENT Clinic, our collaboration was also required. We assisted by packaging and distributing the product for every ENT Clinic to have. All future orders will go through DTR Medical and it will enable the product to be distributed globally and address a huge worldwide issue.

This is now our 7th MediWales Award, highlighting our continued success in bringing medical devices to the market that are Time Saving, Life Saving and Cost Saving. As well as our 2nd Award for partnering with the NHS demonstrating our ethos and commitment listening to Clinicians’ needs and questions like “do you do?” or “can you get?”.
The team at endoscope-i were thrilled with the announcement and added:
