In recent years the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) has established a network of Catapult Centres to assist businesses with the commercialisation of innovation.  The UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) has asked the entrepreneur Hermann Hauser to conduct a review of the Catapult Centres to assess progress to date and to identify future scope in order to maximise benefit to the UK economy in the long term.  The Welsh Government is very pleased to be working with BIS and the Technology Strategy Board to host a workshop in Cardiff for businesses, universities and other interested parties to contribute to this review.

In addition to hearing an update on the Catapult network, this will be an opportunity to provide your views through facilitated round table discussions. Some catapults will be present so this will also be an opportunity to understand more about their exciting work and discuss how they could help accelerate some of your innovation towards commercialisation through collaboration.

It is important that research and development leaders from our innovative companies in Wales participate so that we can maximise the benefit we obtain from the Catapult Centres.
