The largest delegation ever supported by the Welsh Government will fly out to Düsseldorf for the world’s biggest medical sector event.

The four-day Medica show runs from Wednesday, November 14, to Saturday, November 17, and will feature more than 4,300 exhibitors from small companies to global players.

A total of 35 companies and organisations in the life sciences sector in Wales will be attending, including representatives of DTR Medical and the Institute of Life Science in Swansea, Springdew in Ystradgynlais, and Magstim in Whitland.

Business Minister Edwina Hart said: “Increased trade and export activity is a key part of the strategy for Welsh Life Sciences to raise its international profile, attract more life sciences research and innovation to Wales, and to speed up the bringing of new discoveries to a global market.”

The Welsh Government is also leading a trade mission to Shanghai and Beijing on Monday, November 12.
