Deloitte Posts Life Sciences and Health Care Predictions Report for 2022

Deloitte UK’s Centre for Health Solutions has offered some predictions for the future of the industry in a new report.

This builds on their 2014 Healthcare and Life Sciences Predictions 2020: A bold future? report where some of the predictions have already become a reality and evaluates evidence in 2017 of developments that might happen in the future.

Deloitte UK believe

• The quantified self is alive and well
• The culture in health care is transformed by digital technologies
• The life sciences industry is industrialized
• Data is the new health care currency
• The future of medicine is here and now
• New entrants are disrupting health care

The key enablers to thrive and survive the future will be wide-scale adoption of new digital and cognitive health technologies, recruitment and retention of new skills and talent and a new approach to regulation.
