Finance Wales’ Technology Ventures portfolio goes from strength to strength

Finance Wales’ Technology Venture Investments team invested £8.3 million in 2014-15 through a combination of new and follow-on investments in our portfolio. A number of key portfolio companies made significant progress in commercialising their disruptive technologies over the last 12 months – see below.

With £2.9 million invested in the first quarter of 2015-16, our investments are already up by 64% compared to the same period last year and we’re again focusing on a combination of investments in new, fast-growth, IP-rich technology businesses and continued backing for the maturing companies in Finance Wales’ technology ventures portfolio. With a strong pipeline of new deals, the 2015-16 financial year has the potential to be another exciting year.

Finance Wales has built an exciting technology ventures portfolio over the last 6 years, including businesses that have relocated to Wales to take advantage of our investment funds and the Welsh Government’s wider business support infrastructure.
