inovia Agents Rank Among the Top Patent Firms in MIP’s 2012 Survey

inovia, the leading foreign filing platform provider, has reported that many of its agents have been included in Managing Intellectual Property magazine’s “Patent Survey 2012” rankings, demonstrating inovia’s commitment to building a network of superior patent professionals offering clients high-quality service.

The survey covers more than 80 jurisdictions and ranks the top firms for prosecution and contentious work.  Firms are ranked based on peer and client feedback; those in the top tiers received the most recommendations for the quality and depth of their practice.

inovia’s agents in 42 countries were listed in the ranking for patent prosecution work, with agents in 13 countries achieving the highest possible ranking including Kilburn & Strode (United Kingdom), Reinhold Cohn & Partners (Israel), Herrero & Asociados (Spain), Awapatent (Sweden), Spoor & Fisher (South Africa)  and Arnason Faktor (Iceland).  inovia’s agents have consistently appeared in  the survey year over year.

“We’ve always been highly transparent about our agent network because it is important for clients to know that these firms are high quality and share our commitment to client service,” said Justin Simpson, Founder of inovia.  “The fact that many of our agents have been recognized in this survey, most on multiple occasions, is a testament to the strict criteria by which we select agents, which ultimately benefits our clients.”

The inovia agent network, covering more than 80 countries, coupled with inovia’s global instruction platform inovia.com forms the basis of inovia’s business model, which seeks to provide value to attorneys, companies and universities seeking international patent protection.  With pressure on intellectual property budgets leading to increased demand for fixed and/or lower foreign filing fees, many applicants and law firms are looking to outsource portions of the foreign patent filing process and are turning to specialist providers like inovia.  By enabling attorneys and applicants to do more with less, inovia customers report time and cost savings of up to 50 percent compared to traditional foreign filing practices.
