Job Opportunity: Clinical Operations Manager Cutest Systems Ltd

The Clinical Operations Manager will be part of the management team responsible for the overall clinical testing activities of Cutest, including high level project planning and resource management of clinical staff. The role involves supervision of the clinical and project management team and overseeing the QA and H+S of the organisation. The person will be accountable for the overall planning and on time delivery of the client projects and the quality of the operations of the company. The role may be adjusted for candidates with strong skill sets that do not exactly match the requirements below.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall clinical operations on behalf of the senior management team
  • Deputise for CEO in operational decisions
  • Plan study schedules with clients and clinical staff, working closely with project managers
  • Plan overall clinical staff rotas and resources
  • Line manage clinical staff and project managers
  • Oversee QA and improvement plan to ensure continued GCP compliance, delegating activities to appropriate staff
  • Oversee staff training, developing training plans, objectives and metrics
  • Oversee H and S activities, planning improvements and delegating to appropriate staff
  • Develop Study protocols, including statistical design
  • Analyse study data and prepare reports for clients (with support from project managers)
  • Located at our Cardiff clinic
  • Lead the R+D activities of the company, developing our capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or higher-level qualifications in a life science or clinical discipline
  • Familiarity and experience of human clinical research and ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Several years’ experience in a senior role in a clinical setting (NHS or private)
  • Demonstrable line management and people development skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to coordinate multiple activities
