Last chance to enter the ehealth Challenge and win the £5,000 team Prize

Are you interested in exploring ways in which digital technology can help improve healthcare?

Maybe you are a patient and are experiencing inefficiencies in your treatment. Or a healthcare professional with an idea on how to overcome a challenge in your daily practice.

Alternatively you could be a software developer with an interested in exploring the opportunities offered by the Digital Healthcare – a high growth global market with huge business potential.

The Challenge ehealth Innovation Awards sponsored by the Welsh Government calls on delegates from across the UK to team up and brainstorm new digital ehealth ideas. Teams will be competing for a chance to scoop a £5,000 prize and a package of mentor support to help further develop their idea.

Expressions of interest are now open for the event to delegates from Wales (Swansea), Dundee and Greenwich London.

Who can enter?
· IT , software developers
· eHealth, digital health professional
· Medical professionals, clinicians, NHS GPs
· Academics & researchers
· Patients and patient groups
· Marketers, designers…..

Competition dates:

· Idea Generation Workshop: 17th September – brainstorming, idea creation and team formation.

· Project Development Day : 24th September – teams will hone their concepts, build their implementation plans and work on their pitches.

Teams will be encouraged to brainstorm ideas in categories which include: mHealth (mobile health), Well-being & Lifestyle, Clinical Information Systems & Data and Telemedicine & Homecare.

This innovation challenge offers for the first time an opportunity for delegates from across the UK to network, collaborate and innovate with other healthcare professionals, SMEs and academics – at their event venues and over telepresence.

A representative from each team will pitch the team’s idea to a judging panel on the afternoon of the 8th October. The winning team will be announced on the 15thOctober.
