MedaPhor enhances ScanTrainer for Obstetrics and Gynaecology
MedaPhor Group plc (AIM: MED) (‘MedaPhor’), the global provider of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators for medical professionals, have announced that it has added new Ovarian Masses modules and enhanced the learning resources throughout its Obstetrics and Gynaecology ScanTrainer module portfolio. The new modules include the first Super Assessment module for Obstetrics and Gynaecology customers.
New enhancements to learning resources include in-depth textbook resources which will give students access to information to further support their ScanTrainer learning experience across its obstetrics and gynaecology transvaginal (TVS) and transabdominal (TAS) module portfolio.
The new Ovarian Masses modules include an Advanced Skills module and the first Super Assessment module for obstetrics and gynaecology customers. Super Assessment modules replicate the experience of examining and diagnosing in a real-life clinical environment by offering 10 randomly presented patient cases for examination and diagnosis.
Advanced Skills:
- Detailed assessment and classification of an ovarian lesion.
The following skills are taught on a case with a multilocular lesion containing solid and cystic components: measurement of ovarian diameter; measurement of papillary projections; identification and measurement of solid areas; and septal measurement
Super Assessment:
- 10 random patient cases covering the following:
Normal ovaries; Multiloculated solid cyst; Bilateral endometriosis; Patient undergoing IVF treatment; Unilocular cyst; Solid adnexal mass; Unilocular ovarian cyst; Bilateral multilocular cysts; Dermoid cyst; Hydrosalpinx
The latest version of ScanTrainer, complete with the new modules and learning resources, is now available to all new and existing customers.
