New strategic alliance enables integrated heathcare IT solutions

In the past week, two leading UK proponents of IT in healthcare, SymlConnect Limited and KODIT Limited, have formed a strategic alliance to work in partnership.

The move will bring together two businesses with expertise, experience and advanced software solutions in the heathcare sector. Dr Sabarna Mukhopadhyay, MD of SymlConnect stated “When we examined the software solutions offered by the two companies, we could see an immediate synergy”. The alliance will bring together the Care Magic Healthcare Framework with the point of care healthcare applications developed by Syml Connect. Craig Storey, MD of Kodit commented. “This alliance is going to provide world leading solutions for the healthcare sector in the UK, we are looking forward to working with the SymlConnect team”.

SymlConnect, based at the prestigious Institute of Life Sciences at Swansea was selected by the Welsh Government High Growth Entrepreneur programme. This provides SymlConnect with enabling supports under this programme including an experienced business mentor and expertise from leading UK specialists.

Kodit has been working within the healthcare sector and, like SymlConnect, has close alliance with the ABMU health board and is exploring various All Wales projects and international contacts. Both companies are closely supported by the ehi2 team within the Swansea ILS 2 and MediWales teams.

SymlConnect and Kodit will be at the forthcoming BioWales conference in Cardiff.
