SARTRE launches Health Technology Challenge Pilot Scheme

SARTRE has launched the Health Technology Challenge Pilot Scheme in partnership with SEWAHSP.

The scheme is aimed at identifying unmet clinical needs and areas where new technology could help improve healthcare or bring benefits to patients.

Seedcorn funding will be available to support a number of innovative projects which will be open to all institutions affiliated to the SEWAHSP group.

  • Two-step process. The first step being to collect “challenges”; ideas for technology improvements or needs from the healthcare community. An interactive website has been set up to allow challenges to be posted and comments to help refine or improve challenges and vote on those you like (or dislike). The website is http://sartre.ideascale.com

  • The best challenges will be selected to go forward to a competition stage for seedcorn funding of up to £25,000. Applications will then be invited from teams which must include at least 2 SEWAHSP institutions.

Call Details:

  • Challenge website open: 10th June 2013
  • Deadline for challenges: 27th September 2013
  • Call for applications open: 8th October 2013
  • Deadline for applications: 22nd November 2013
