SEHTA Job Vacancy – Healthcare Technology Research Analyst

We are looking for a Graduate with qualifications in life sciences or relevant physical sciences (relevant postgraduate qualification desirable), with an understanding of the health sector (desirable). The applicant should also have significant numerate and analytical skills, high levels of IT competency, particularly in MS Office, excellent communication skills, especially written but including oral, motivation to work effectively for considerable periods without direct supervision and a flexible approach.

The vacancy has arisen as a result of success in several bids to a range of public and private sector funders to provide support writing grant application, the analysis of research and data, delivery of projects and creation of commercialisation strategies for companies.  SEHTA also assists public sector organisations to develop clusters, hold events and facilitates bridges between the health and care sector and business including providing mentoring.

The successful applicant will join a small team of 4 full-time employees and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Neil Roberts.

Overview of role

  • The role is full time at 40 hours per week
  • Salary negotiable from £20k p.a. plus the possibility of bonus
  • Company pension (after probation period)
  • 28 days annual leave per calendar year
  • There will be a probationary period of 6 months
  • Location: primarily home – based in the South East of England but with frequent travel mainly in the South East, but on occasion overseas; own transport desirable

Job Specification

  • Contribute to writing applications for funding alongside health technology businesses and assist as a partner in successful bids
  • Analysis of research and data for inclusion in consultancy reports for publication and in ongoing projects
  • Assist with the development and presentation of commercialisation strategies for companies including basic health economic analyses
  • Assist with project management
  • Contribute to business development of SEHTA using individual expertise and skills
  • Contribute to the delivery of SEHTA events
