South Wales based SONY UK Tec to make Raspberry Pi computer
Previously manufactured in China, this credit card-sized Raspberry Pi computer has been repatriated to the SONY UK Technology Centre in Wales.
The stripped back computer, which aims to encourage more young people to learn programming, sells for around US $25 (£16).
A multi-million pound deal will see the Pencoed site produce more than 300,000 units of the mini-computer for Premier Farnell, a multi-channel electronic distributor which has been selling the innovative device since February this year.
