Swansea University: Access to Masters (ATM) Programme
Access to Masters (ATM) is a major project led by Swansea University on behalf of Welsh Higher Education Institutions, harnessing convergence funding to support the transformation of Wales’ economy into one based on knowledge and skills.
This project will deliver a range of Masters level courses to the future workforce creating a direct link with the workplace via work placements. This year we have 54 students seeking work placements as part of their Masters degree.
Who?
SMEs, Micro-businesses, Large and Public Sector Organisations (subject to availability) with a business ‘problem’ that requires a solution
What?
The organisations need to be able to offer a four week placement (c20 hours per week)
Where?
Organisations with a permanent presence in the convergence area of Wales
When?
Summer 2015 (June to September)
Why?
Business focused research – freeing up staff’s own time
Attract and support the development of new researchers in your company
Establish ongoing links with the University
Low cost of participating (Match funding via time spent supervising the student)
