Two MediWales members win IWA Western Mail Business Awards 2011

THE very best in Welsh business was celebrated last night at the IWA Western Mail Business Awards 2011.

The Company of the Year (turnover below £10m), sponsored by KLM and Cardiff Airport, was won by Bridgend-based Biotec Services. The business provides international clinical trial services supporting the pharmaceutical industry.

New Start-Up Company of the Year, sponsored by GoCompare.com, went to Direct Healthcare.

The Caerphilly-based company began trading in April, 2009 and provides specialist mattresses, cushions and overlays for the healthcare sector.
