Urdd National Eisteddfod: GwyddonLe Science Pavilion

The Urdd National Eisteddfod will be visiting Llancaiach Fawr in Caerphilly County between the 25th and 30th of May 2015. A family orientated festival, the Eisteddfod is a celebration of Welsh language, culture and the wealth of young talent we have here in Wales. Last year, 15,000 competitors and over 86,000 visitors attended the Urdd Eisteddfod in Bala, Meirionnydd – which also attracted over 100 different exhibitors and a large television and radio audience in both Welsh and English.

Every year a wide range of businesses take advantage of the opportunity the Eisteddfod provides to raise their profile among the public, while also supporting a good cause.

Over the past few years, GwyddonLe science pavilion has become one of the most popular attractions on the maes. Through a partnership with Swansea University and a number of local businesses, oranisers will once again develop hands-on and educational exhibitions for young audiences, to help demonstrate the relevance of the STEM subjects to everyday life, and highlight associated careers in industry.
